1. Agreement and operator
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and MotusAI Labs LLC (“MotusAI Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). MotusAI Labs LLC owns and operates the MotusAI company website, FencingAI software, and HaloRides software.
By creating an account, purchasing credits, or using a service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
2. The services
MotusAI Labs develops and provides digital software services. We do not ship physical goods.
- FencingAI is closed-beta sports-performance software that analyzes customer-provided epee fencing video and returns digital movement analysis and training guidance.
- HaloRides is private-community ride coordination software for families and trusted groups. It supports community invitations, ride requests and confirmations, driver/rider coordination, notifications, and trip tracking.
Features may change as our beta products are tested and improved. We will not materially misrepresent a paid feature at checkout.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information, keep your login credentials secure, and promptly notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use. A person who offers to drive through HaloRides must be legally eligible to drive and must comply with all applicable licensing, insurance, vehicle, and safety requirements.
Closed-beta access may require approval. We may refuse or revoke beta access when reasonably necessary to protect customers, the service, or the public.
4. FencingAI terms
FencingAI uses automated analysis, including artificial intelligence and computer-vision techniques. Results are estimates based on the submitted video and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Camera position, video quality, occlusion, lighting, and other factors can affect the output.
Training information only. FencingAI is not medical, physical-therapy, diagnostic, injury-prevention, officiating, or professional coaching advice. Do not use it as the sole basis for a health, safety, competition, or training decision.
You are responsible for confirming that you have permission to upload a video and for obtaining any consent required from people shown in it. Do not upload confidential footage or content that violates another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights.
FencingAI does not offer gambling, sports betting, odds, entry-fee contests, cash prizes, or wagering services.
5. HaloRides terms
HaloRides provides software that helps members of private communities coordinate rides. MotusAI Labs does not currently sell transportation, collect ride fares, process payments for drivers, employ drivers, or transmit money between members.
Members decide whether to offer, request, accept, begin, change, or complete a ride. Drivers and riders are responsible for communicating, evaluating whether a ride is appropriate, following applicable law, using seat belts and appropriate child restraints, and acting safely.
HaloRides does not guarantee that a driver or ride will be available, that a member’s identity has been independently verified, that a vehicle is suitable, or that a trip will be completed. Location and status information may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable.
If HaloRides later offers a paid product or credit top-up, we will publish the price, seller, fulfillment terms, cancellation rules, and refund terms before collecting payment.
6. Payments, pricing, and credits
FencingAI purchases
FencingAI credit packs are one-time purchases in U.S. dollars. Current public prices are $2.99 for 50 credits, $5.99 for 150 credits, and $9.99 for 350 credits. A standard video analysis uses 10 credits and an AI chat message uses 1 credit. More resource-intensive features may use more credits when their cost is disclosed before use.
Credit packs do not automatically renew. Purchased credits do not expire under the current product rules. Taxes, if legally required, will be shown or collected as part of checkout.
Payment processing
Eligible card payments are processed by Stripe. MotusAI Labs LLC is the seller and remains responsible for the FencingAI service, support, and eligible refunds. We do not store your full card number or card security code.
Refunds and cancellations
Our Refund and Cancellation Policy is part of these Terms. In summary, unused FencingAI credits may be eligible for a refund when requested within 14 calendar days of purchase. Consumed credits are generally non-refundable after the corresponding digital service has been delivered, except where required by law or where we approve a remedy for a service failure.
HaloRides credits
HaloRides does not currently offer paid top-ups. HaloRides community credits are closed-loop units for use only inside HaloRides. They are nontransferable, nonwithdrawable, not redeemable for cash, and are not bank deposits or stored monetary value.
7. Customer content
You retain ownership of video, text, profile information, and other content you submit. You give MotusAI Labs a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit your content. We may remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or another person’s rights.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use the services to:
- Break the law, harm another person, or facilitate unsafe conduct.
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt, probe, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the services.
- Impersonate another person, misrepresent affiliation, or create fraudulent accounts or transactions.
- Upload content you do not have permission to use.
- Use FencingAI for gambling, prize contests, wagering, or deceptive performance claims.
- Transfer, sell, withdraw, or redeem HaloRides credits for cash.
9. Service availability and disclaimers
Beta software can contain errors and may change. We may pause service for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every analysis, notification, map position, or recommendation will be complete or accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement where those disclaimers are legally permitted. Nothing in these Terms removes a non-waivable consumer right.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MotusAI Labs LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from the services.
For claims relating to a paid service, our total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to MotusAI Labs for that service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. Suspension, termination, and changes
You may stop using the services at any time and may request account deletion through the available account controls or support. Because FencingAI credit packs are not subscriptions, there is no recurring plan to cancel.
We may suspend or terminate access for a material violation of these Terms, fraud, abuse, safety risk, nonpayment, or legal requirement. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects paid customer rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the service, website, or account email. The “Effective” date above shows the latest revision.
