1. Scope and controller
MotusAI Labs LLC (“MotusAI Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is responsible for personal information processed through motusai.org, FencingAI, HaloRides, and related customer support. This policy applies when you browse our company site, create an account, submit content, purchase a digital service, coordinate a ride, or contact us.
Product-specific notices shown inside an application may provide more detail. If a product-specific notice conflicts with this policy, the notice that gives you more specific information for that feature controls.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account and profile information: name, email address, account identifier, authentication information, profile photo, and community membership.
- Customer support information: messages, attachments, issue details, and correspondence you send to us.
- FencingAI content: uploaded fencing videos, selected comparison footage, analysis preferences, chat messages, and feedback.
- HaloRides content: community invitations, ride requests, pickup and destination details, proposed times, role as driver or rider, confirmations, status updates, and community messages.
Information generated by the services
- FencingAI results: pose and movement estimates, reconstructed action data, timing and distance measures, AI-assisted training guidance, processing status, and credit usage.
- HaloRides activity: ride status, participation history, community credit activity, notifications, and live or approximate location when a trip-tracking feature is actively used and permission is granted.
Technical information
We may receive IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages or features used, approximate location derived from IP, cookie or session identifiers, timestamps, crash information, and security events. Our public company pages do not require an advertising tracker.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, personalize, and maintain FencingAI and HaloRides.
- Authenticate accounts and protect customers from fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Process fencing video and generate the analysis requested by the customer.
- Coordinate community rides, send requested notifications, and display trip status to authorized participants.
- Track product entitlements and digital credits.
- Process eligible purchases, issue approved refunds, and maintain transaction records.
- Answer support, billing, privacy, and legal requests.
- Debug, measure, secure, and improve our software.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell personal information or rent customer contact lists. We do not use customer fencing videos to train a general-purpose AI model without the customer’s separate permission.
5. Payment information
Eligible FencingAI card payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives payment-card and transaction information under its own privacy terms. MotusAI Labs receives transaction details such as amount, currency, purchase status, payment identifier, and limited billing information, but we do not store full card numbers or card security codes.
HaloRides card payments and paid top-ups are not currently available. If that changes, we will update this policy and disclose the payment processor before collecting payment information.

6. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain an active account, meet legal and accounting duties, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose.
- Customers can delete individual FencingAI analyses through available account controls. This is intended to remove the associated uploaded video, derived analysis, and related chat data from active systems.
- Customers may request account deletion through available account controls or by contacting support.
- Transaction and refund records may be kept as required for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes even after account deletion.
- Limited backups may persist for a reasonable period before being overwritten.
We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably identify an individual.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections, access restrictions, authentication controls, and service monitoring. No online system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong password and protecting access to your account and device.

8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal information. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to a privacy authority.
You can:
- Update available account and profile fields.
- Delete available FencingAI analyses and request account deletion.
- Control device permissions, including location and notifications, through your browser or device settings.
- Opt out of non-essential promotional email through the message’s unsubscribe mechanism. Service and transaction messages may still be sent.
- Request privacy assistance at support@motusai.org.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where applicable law permits.
9. Children’s privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without legally valid parental consent. If you believe a child has provided information in violation of this policy, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
A minor who is old enough to use a service but has not reached the age of majority should use it only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
10. International access
MotusAI Labs operates from the United States. If you access a service from another country, information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Where required, we use legally recognized protections for cross-border transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, providers, or legal duties change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide reasonable notice through the website, service, or account email where required.
